swoon over books

Hi bookaholics, my name is gillian and i love to read. i only read ya books and majority of them are romances.

City of Glass - Cassandra Clare
People aren't born good or bad. Maybe they're born with tendencies either way but its the way you live your life that matters.
Throne of Glass - Sarah J. Maas
"You could rattle the stars." she whispered. "You could do anything, if only you dared. and deep down you know it, too. That's what scares you the most."
Even a book can be dangerous in the wrong hands, and when that happens, you blame the hands, but you also read the book.

The Queen of the Tearling

Hi bookaholics,

i really hate that my first review is a negative one but i really need to share my feelings on this book. queen of the tearling is about kelsea a nineteen year old girl who has been in hiding for basically all her life and comes back to the tearling to claim her throne. kelsea arrives in the tearling to find it in really bad shape do to her mothers rule. her aim is to fix what her mother had done but it will not be easy because of all the people out to kill her including her uncle.

i felt as if this book is extremely over-hyped. it was very slow paced and i was bored most of the time, i had to force myself to finish this book. the characters in this book are well constructed but even this fact did not keep me interested. i loved kelsea because she is a strong young woman who wont let anything get in the way of what she wants to achieve. there was a hint of a romance but nothing really happens and i think that was one of my main issues with this book.
